My Other Half draws inspiration from the Stockholm syndrome. In this condition, the hostages develop a psychological alliance with their captors as a survival strategy during confinement. Fear, self-preservation, confusion, and identification are stages the victim goes through while imprisoned. In this project, photos and words from the book 3096 Days (2010) by Natascha Kampusch symbolise these phases. The viewer is invited to interact with them, and even to reorganise them creating personal narratives.
